will this cam work?

Will it work with a maggie? Absolutely it will. Are there better choices? I wish the Maggie boys would chime in and tell us what an optimized maggie cam looks like. LSA, intake vs exhaust duration, lift, etc. I know it varies with the setup, but maybe some general guidelines would be good. I've heard everything from tight to loose LSA's. Big exhaust biases vs. "square" cams and everything in between.

I have an A&A corvettes stage III blower cam and after having both lingenfelter gt-7 and gt2-3 cams and a 114 lsa cam, I think this cam pulls the best through all rpm ranges idles better and gets better mpg. I would stay away from small lsa's just because the torque moves sor far up the rpm band. you need down low torque to get the truck moving. I would sacrifice top end hp for more low end torque in a truck any day.

I'll need a basket under the oil pan to catch the pieces. Good idea though.
