Default Why might I be at only 4lbs in 1st gear?

No matter what I try to do I can only pull 4lbs in first gear, when it shifts into 2nd i get 5.5 and I stay there trough every other gear. Is it just tuning or am I missing something. I have an STS, GT67

Also do you think if I put a set of headers and high flow cats I could spool faster? My boost doesn't come on till 3100, the truck is a pig til that point!

is your ypipe wrapped? i would lean your tune out until it gets into boost and add some timing until it gets into boost

No its not wrapped and I had considered doing that since it takes a while for the exhaust to heat up.

So I should adjust the short term fuel trim? and throw alittle more timing in. or is it another value?

wrap the pipe. It will make a big difference in how it spools. We had a Silverado SS that would only make 3psi in first. After wrapping, it will stall into 6psi. Same think on a 1500hd that we are finishing now.
Wrap it. Its worth it.

In more ways than one.

Also have you tried brake stalling it? You should be able to launch with at least some boost. With wrap and a little timing tweaking you should be able to leave at your full boost of 5.5psi.

Yeah I have tried brake stalling it only to have it bog down when it starts to build boost. I don't want to have to put on higher stall, I daily drive it and already Im at 11.8MPG's. BWHAHAHA! I will wrap it, should I wrap it all the way back to the turbine exhasut housing? or just the Y pipe? Factory manifolds too?

Don't wrap the manifolds, but yes, all the way to the turbine housing.

I'll try it in a few days. I should be able to get some from Autozone.
