Default Dragalanche-new times!

Hi Guys,
I ran my best this Friday down in Edinburg.

Just to recap, here's a list of my mods:
2005 Av, 5.3L
STS turbo, still at 5psi
212cam
2600 yank converter
shiftkit
fuel upgrades
snowperformance kit

We drove a long way to run just once, it started raining after the first run, so that sucked. I just put in new injectors and had no time to fine tune it, BUT I did get my slicks on and they sure did help!!

New time: 13.01 @ 105 !!!
Just a reminder that's 5980lbs for the lead sled.

I was still at 26degs of timing, not 28 like last time, so that would have helped, it was my first run with the slicks, so that was a "test" run. I feel it has a 12.7 or 12.8 as is. It's running very damn strong for 5psi on the street.

So my next goal is to run 12.5 in the 1/4, still with 5psi. I'm upgrading to a posi, 3.73 gears (has 3.42 now)
and lighter tires in the front.

Then, we'll see about going to 10psi.

later, and thanks for listening,
allen

Can you tell us more about the 212 cam or make a suggestion for my setup. I am lurking around tryin to build my knowledge of what works on a sts cam wise. Thanks, sorry to hijack and great times out of that huge heavy beast!BTW, you do know those butturbos are dyno no-load queens that'll never work at the track

Great job. I'm sure when people see what a turbo and your tuning can do bussiness will start to boom.
