This post got me thinking about my IATs yesterday and why they were sitting at 80* above ambient and higher when building boost. Checked mine out and sure enough, no coolant flow. Fortunately, pulled the inline fuse I installed and re-installed it and it works great again.

KYSilverado....what are you planning to put in to verify flow? I might do the same but I dunno what I would put in there...
Dunno yet. Like MJ said. Some kind of flow switch. I'll let you know what I find.

Couldn't you just put a relay for the LED on the intercooler pump ground wire?

I'll mess around with it. Ordered a new pump today.

Best run last night was a 14.01 @ 98 mph, 2.08 60', 180 somthing IAT at the end of the run, 19* timing, full street trim, first time at the track with SD tuning and the 2-bar map. Not too shabby. Kyle beat me though 13.83 @ 98. The little butt-mount turbo 4.8 hit 13's and I couldn't

My best was a 2.08, then a 2.14 and a 2.15. I can't get this thing out of the hole. Lanches with 5lbs of boost and 2900-3000 stall, but still won't pull a good 60 foot. I think the Z06 cam is hurting me there. Pulls good up top. The meth also gave me about another pound and a half of boost on the same wastegate spring.

Hvae you tried bosting higher or will it let you? I found 5psi was like the cutoff limit for a good launch. Anyhting around 5psi or lower it was complete crap but over 5psi was awesome.

5psi is about all I can get pushing on both pedals as hard as I can unless the turbo is really hot.

The 4.8, just doesn't have that low end torque I need for a good launch.

Maybe you can try using a turbo blanket to keep the turbo hot and maybe coat your exhaust to help trap the heat. I was planing on trying this on my truck before I did the swap. Anything to help spool up time. That 4.8L can have more than enough TQ to get things going if you have enough boost at launch and have the truck tuning set up right with enough timing down low.
