Default Whipple supercharger questions!!

I have a 2007 sierra 5.3 all stock and want to put a used whipple on it, the kit comes with injectors and I know I will have to get it tuned. Im only looking to run around 6-8lbs but I dont even know if the kit will work. What are some of the things I need to worry about as the charger is coming of a 2001 gmc!

Is your truck a new or old body 2007 if its a old body and the supercharger came off a 2001 that truck was a throttle by cable and yours is a electronic throttle body meaning yours is bigger and will hit the fire wall on your truck, but if you make a 90 degree elbow coming off the charger to face your throttle body forward it will work fine.

I have no clue on a new body though.

I put a 99-02 whipple charger on a 2003 2500hd and it worked just fine because a 3/4tons basically has a factory body lift that makes the motor sit a little lower further away from the firewall also i had to run a kenne bell boost-a-pump because i was running out of fuel past 5000rpms but that was on a 6.0 other motors may not run out of fuel.

it is the newer body style with the electronic throttle boody but it also has a 3" body lift, so do you think it will still hit the fire wall. my main concern is the intake and will the blower fit on it. Whipple stoped making intakes from what I understand in 2007 because there 07 or newer kits are intercooled and that replaces your manifold. Also should I be concerned about the fuel rails or belt alignment.

My first venture into boost was a 1996 suburban 454 with a whipple supercharger, a vehicle I bought old and put away wet (but it was supercharged!!!!!).

Anyways, I must have had the belt jump off the pulleys a good 3 or 4 times before I found a shop that could line it up correctly. So not sure if the newer ones have that problem or not but that is what I would take caution on.

I must say I much prefer the magnachargers I have had since then.

Being a new body 07 i wouldnt know you need to look at a 03-07Classic truck and see what is different but as far as the pulleys lining up it should work because the use the same water pump and alternator bracket from what i can tell, and since you have a body lift you shouldnt have clearence issues with the throttle body

I have the elbow piece from my whipple for sale if you want it. Basically it makes the TB face forward so there is plenty of room for the electronics. I had a custom intake made for a 90 mm TB so I can sell you my stock one.
