Whipple question

Supposidly the kit is a whole kit, ready to be slapped on.
I just can't justify spending 3K on a used maggie :imo Only reason I'm even considering the whipple is because its a VERY good price. I know that intercooling it is the best bet as well which is kinda discouraging because the kit is not intercooled and not sure how much or how easy it would be to track one down.
More worried about problems down the road with the instalation of a whipple. I know the 4l60, G80, & 8.5 would hate me
Realistically I can't justify spending the money most you dudes do on my truck (not that I dont want to). If I could buy the Whipple, and it'd work straight out of the box and provide enough HP for me (which it pry would), I'd be fine. Just not sure on how much power I'd be looking at, and how reliable i can expect it to be.

If you don't already know, you just change injectors and get a tune for the blower, you don't use any of Whipple's electronics, and don't splice their wires.
The problem is, is, without intercooling or alcohol injection, it only gives you a little more bottom end power, if any. It really only just makes up for the drag that spinning it creates.
If you don't want to run meth or spend some time addding an intercooler, the extra cost for an intercooled maggie might deserve your consideration.

So many of us have broke on or the other or both being nearly stock... Even the added hp that the whip will provide, I bang you will have a prob with one of the two things(not trying to jinx ya) If you are going to add a blower you better save for some supporting mods, atleast a shift kit, big cooler for the tranny, hope the g 80 stays put... Why not add a set of LT headers, tune, CAI.. It might help with your need for hp, be a lil easier on the rest of the truck.. Them 3 things will make it feel like a new truck, but will prob cost ya 1k bucks.. I say if you put blower on be ready to break the piggy bank again for things to fix.. I still would save for a maggie, or another type of blower or F/I being non IC'd is like wiping your *** before you ****, it just doesnt make sense... IMO
