Default Whipple fuel rail supply port

My Whipple fuel rails came setup to run a single fuel port in the middle of the drivers side rail with cross over hoses on the front and back of the rails to deliver fuel to the other passenger rail. If I am running -8AN feed all the way to that single input on the Whipple rail will that setup be sufficient? There isn’t a need to run a Y block to the rails for fuel delivery to both rails at the same time is there? It’ll be around 12psi boost, 58psi system.

No you should be fine.

On my whipple, I feed the back of both rails by using a Tee on one rail going over to the other, and also crossover in the front with the stock hose, and I return the fuel out of that goofy middle port (instead of that being the feed). My setup is a return style though, if you do not have a return line and only have 1 feed line then connecting it to the middle port as intended will be fine.

My system is a return style, my return comes off the bottom of my regulator back to stock factory feed line

Ok, then you can feed the back of one rail and return out of the other end and block off that middle port, or do it like I described if you want to feed both ends.

Okay, but is it necessary? Can I just feed the middle of the one rail, have the crossovers on the front and back of each rails to supply the other rail and keep my return on the bottom of my regulator going to my stock return line on my truck??

So then how does your rail feed the regulator?

It is generally not recommended to have the regulator before the rails, you usually want it after. 12psi from a blower is not that much power though, so you will probably be fine.

Richard,

Hey man thanks for the input buddy. I took your advice and ordered all the fittings to set my Whipple up the same way you’re running your fuel supply.

No problem! I maxed out my 2.3 whipple with a 10% OD crank pulley and a 2.7ish blower pulley to about 650rwhp and never had fuel issues so thats a good sign
