Default Whipple A2W intercooler final install results

I will just say that I am F'in exstatic about this intercooler! For pics and stuff see this older thread...

https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=378174

Went out to the garage this morning and pulled the blower off so i could get to the fuel pressure regulator and install that O-ring. Got it put in and everything was fine. Held pressure at 60lbs just like it was supposed to. Put everything back together, got on the creeper and slid under to hook my wideband up so i could do some tuning. I Look on top of the skid plate and sitting there are my last 2 oil caps that blew off...sweet! I screw in the LC-1 then i get the smaller pulley they sent me with the kit (adds about 2psi) and I install that.

I hopped in the truck, got the laptop situated, and plugged everything in. Whipped up a new IAT table and added a few degrees at the end of my high octane table. I bumped it from 12* to 14* to see how it would do. So now i have 2* more timing and 2 more lbs of boost than i had before. I Let it warm up and started out for some tuning. Ambient temps today were 80*-82* (yea i know....to warm). Anyway even with this smaller pulley and at 80*+ outside, my cruising IAT temps were 95*- 99*.....I was very happy about that cause i figured the smaller pulley would make a bigger difference in IATs than that. So i got on it several times and it felt damn good! Had a few small blips (0.3, 0.4) of KR but for the most part it did great! It is right about 7.5psi @ 14* and pulled real real strong. The best part of all was the fact that i was around 100* when i punched it every time and the temps never went above 110*. They actually fell a few degrees halfway through the runs.

So bottom line is I finally got something to work out.... . Truck feels great and I cant wait to see how i do at the track this week and maybe try and put another degree or two of timing in there.

TM tables? Torque Management? I have not found the TM tables in the Allison TCM yet. I still drop off to about 5* of timing during shift points.

Shouldn't the torque management tables be in the engine PCM side of things since they are basically timing controls?

That is awesome how little over ambient it runs at cruise. WOT temps are pretty nice too. Congrats

I thought so too, but i reduced all the TM from the PCM and it made no difference. These stupid Allisons may be tough, but they sure are hard to program. Never have found where the TM is located or how its asking the PCM to pull timing.

I don't see how that little-assed thing would do anything to cool the charge.

Good deal man, glad to see you got it working. Ya I believe the allisons have there own control module unlike the other trannies.

Very nice. I'm glad the results tuned out positive. That kit looks nice and I'm glad it performs as well.

Yup, they have thier own TCM that EFILive is able to program. However, if i or no one else knows where or how the TCM asks the PCM to pull timing there is not much i can do. I have tried changing a few things, but it hasnt made a difference yet.
