Default What Oil do you guys use ???
need input on what oil u guys are running for yr turbo set ups and will mobil 1 5w w30 synthettic cause leakage??

Ive currently got 5 qts of valvoline VR1 and 1.5 qts of Rotella T5 5w-40 in it. Didn't intend it that way but that's how it turned out.

You need something with high ZDDP in it. VR1, Brad Penn, Mobil 1 racing, etc.

Switching to synthetic won't cause any leaks or problems unless there's some underlying issue beforehand. I just switched my 120k mile engine to synthetic without any problems and I only used conventional before.

I prefer to use synthetic oil with a turbo because of the significantly increased oil temps.

I've been running Mobile 1 5w30 for about 5yrs on two different forced induction setups. Both motors are still together, and no leaks.

mobil 1 works fine. I personally prefer extra zinc and phosphorus in my oil...
