most use magnaflow due to it's straight thru design and somewhat quiet sound.

A $17 baffled chamber, almost like a glass pack, but not really.

I'm using a 3" to (2) 2.5" mini y-pipe which then goes to two SLP LoudMouth II mufflers, which are dumped before the rear axle- but I aimed them at a 45 degree angle away from the ground pointing out from under the truck. The turbo quiets them down a bit, as before the turbo they were pretty loud

so you spit it up.. instead of going in series.. it really sounds like it would be quieter going from 3 to 2.5 as well

as for magnaflows.. i think theyre still pretty loud. i had magnaflow for a lightninng on my truck. and it was still pretty loud

i want something quiet!! and dumped all the way to the rear ..

if you want something quiet, just go pick up a factory duramax exhaust up. My bro just put one on his turbo truck and it's pretty mellow. You can pick them up pretty cheap too.

hmm i wonder where theres a local diesel junkyard around here..

but it does sound pretty cool to have a 3in pipe down to my cut out and go on to a 2.5 exaust.. then all the way dumped to the back somewhere..

Try craigslist, practically everyday someone tosses their complete diesel exhaust system and replaces it with straight pipe (at least in Texas lol) so they sell off the whole system for pretty cheap just to get rid of it

i run dual cutouts with a dual in/out maagnaflow (iirc its the 24" or 28" inch body with an internal x pipe) its not too loud but its noticable . i love how it sounds and no resonance.
