yeah im with him on that , they put so much stress on pullies and something will eventually break on an lsx platform. ive seen some examples already. they sound awesome though.
well then id have to say the kb 3.6 will be a killer combowithout a doubt , run a 10 rib and youll be great imo.
dude , come to cali and drive my ss . i guarantee you will reconsider a properly setup turbo combo.
however i canhelp you out with a friend if you want to do a badass whipple 2.9, not sure what the 4.0 will take but ive seen them on a few lsx powered rails so it can be done it will take a nice belt drive too but he has his own custom pulley setups easily available. price should also be decent .
cant wait for this build man !!

I'm no guru as some of these guys in previous post, but from what I've read and see put down good hp number and great track times have come from turbo powered vehicles. (Chase ^, stock48, of course flaco, the list goes on and on) and you already have the turbo. (if you havent sold it) so that is my vote.
Try it and if you dont like it switch! why not try some R and D

You dont know Richard very well, he is the King of R&D ! LOL.
You will be happy if you stick a blower back on your Z71, and build a Turbo combo for the RCSB. Then you have one of each.
Ive had both and really love my blower, so much power off idle, burnouts are soooo fun, and the grunt on the street is like no other.
Loved the turbo too, the sound, the pull from mid to top end. It was awesome.
But for a fun street toy/ play around truck i vote blower.
EDIT - All Forced induction rules! Its your choice how and when you want the power to come in.

I say turbo. Also as mentioned before 4wd and awd people have lots of fun with HP trucks on the street and strip but I have heard several high HP 2wd guys wishing they had less power just so they can hook up and put the power to the ground.

I say turbo with proper cam and stall. I'm running a stock conveyer right now. I would hate turbos too if I didn't know any better. It take years to spool. But when I get my yank back, it's on. The sc3200 builds boost almost instantly.
