I thought about posting up a smartass comment, but I figured I'd stick to the books on this one lol.
Seeing as you are more of a low-stall converter fan, I'd say go with a PD blower. However in that case 2wd is not gonna be helping you, street or track.

With proper suspension attention an awd setup can hook great even with a lot of power. Look at what Parish was able to do with 1000rwhp. There are a few other guys tickling higher HP ranges that do just fine with a lot of power. No way I would build a high HP truck without it powering all 4 wheels. Look at all the high HP 2wd guys, they all wish they had 4wd.

besides just a peak hp goal
also how do you want the power curve to look?
or I can say it like this- how do you want the power delivery to come in as you drive?
Prochargers boost increases with rpm.

id pretty much copy parish's truck and keep the 88 kit you have , cheapest route and youll make more power than most of those . use the 4wd t case as well , they can hold power lock all wheels at 50/50 and do a burnout to at least heat the rear tires.
you can run 9's in a 4wd man its been done.

Im not really shooting for a time goal, just something rediculous and fun to drive...
...to be honest, I didnt really like how the power cam on with the turbo. Maybe it was because my truck was so heavy, or the cam wasnt a good match or what, but it just wasnt as fun as the blower setup I had before that made considerably less power.
Since this isnt a DD so I could see myself using a larger stall (3400ish I guess), and a bigger cam.
