Oh, that explains it! That's the old style bracket. The new style requires a longer belt.

i had the old style brackets but had to buy the new ones because the old one but the intake tube right in front of the master cylinder and i couldn't get the tube on so i had to order the new style.

 

All ya needed was filter like mine

3.25"= 11# for me on my 6L , P1 , Gatorback soooo tight had to pull a bolt from alt. to get it on. No Slip at all now. For me I found the tensioner swings as rpm builds if I bump the rev limiter the rpm chop throws the belt slack off the pulley.
