I see it. How far in the intake does it sit? I wonder if my EGR block off plate would be restrictive?

That's pretty good idea. I just wonder if the f-body's IAT sensor is scaled the same as our factory one?

I took the duct tape off of the little added-on Whipple air filter that comes with the kit today. I taped it up last year because I thought that it might be contributing to high IATs by picking up hot engine compartment air. It wasn't, and that's what started the whole I/C project.
With the tape off, boost doesn't drop below 6psi and the truck keeps pulling instead of going flat at about 90 or so.
So now, with this information, I'll be starting a new project on the intake side of my S/C.
I'm going to move the MAF to the pressure side of the system, just ahead of the intake manifold. This will eliminate the MAF as a restriction, I'm sure it flows more than enough air to be on the pressure side.
Next will be a custom throttle-to-filter tube, eliminating the Whipple one.
And then the biggest cone-shaped K&N type filter I can get into the spot formerly occupied by the stock airbox.
I can't wait, it was so exciting to find why the boost was dropping off, and there is probably a lot more free (almost free) power available.

This is the first step in making the increasers to put the MAF in my cool air pipe. The sizes are, starting at the MAF's entrance, 3" to 3 3/4", 4 1/8" to 3".
