anyone know of a good place to get mild steel weld els?

ah do they require different welders? Im not a welder by any means but i know the guy that does my welding uses the same machine to do stainless as he does just mild steel

it requires different wire and different gas, and you really shouldnt weld stainless and mild steel. i have 3 ls flanges and they are alll mild, so id be looking about $300 for wire, bottle and stainless parts. at that point i might as well buy the trick turbo manifold in swap meet. plenty of people use mild with success.

You can weld stainless to carbon steel no problem as long as you use stainless filler wire , preferably 316 SS .

OP try Columbia river for your bends. Or even fleabay.

everything ive read says if you dont use the correct wire that it will crack and thats why you dont weld stainless to mild because it will not be the correct wire for on of the metals
