Default Which way to go? 122HH or 2.6 KB?

My current mods are:

LQ9 6.0, Radix, 3.0 pully, 100 mm idlers, MSD wires, 180 T-stat, Stainless works LT's, true dual 3" exhaust, Built 80E, 9.5 14 bolt with 4.10's and a true trac.

Mods going on at same time of install for which ever way I go.

AFR 225cc heads with 72cc chambers
GT2-3 cam
60# injectors
meth

Question is which way to go. I know the reliability of the magnacharger, and I'm sure the 122HH will be the same in that regards. The cost will be about the same and will probably be more for the 122HH than the kb considering with the 122 I will be doing the 8 rib to try to get rid of the annoying *** belt slip I have, and to get the potential out of the 122. I will also be doing the 90mm conversion which adds cost. The thing that scares me about the kb is it being new, but the 122hh is new too. I need to make a decision on this because I am next in line for a 122 which is in the process of having the last parts machined. Give me your feed back fellas.

so far I've seen the 122 good for 760 and 780 fwhp.

with the KB 2.6, I think the American HP in his vette saw 700/700 to the wheels, built 408, yada yada, you'll have to do the research on that.

does that help any?

I would do the MP122HH retro... that is what I'm doing down the road... unless the TVS upgrade becomes available before I pony up.

If you want 90mm.... the only added cost (staying with Magnuson) will be the j-tube mod... or you can do the BigTex mod which is more/less the time you spend to mod your existing j-tube.

Does KB even offer an 8-rib upgrade? grippy should be busting out some fitment and performance results of his 8-rib upgrade pretty soon...

I think you could sell all the MP112 related parts you took off your existing kit on eBay to help compensate for the cost of the MP122HH upgrade. Not sure what the difference would be selling your Radix kit outright and purchasing a complete KB kit...

... just some input

Bill

Question

Why not the 3.3L Whipple?
That'll tear apart some engine & tranny inards!

The 3.3 is already out and intercooled, Whitt1 has one waiting to go on right now and has had it for a while.
