Default want to boost it....procharger

So, I think I have made the decision that I want to run a Procharger with about 10-12psi.

With that, what else would I need? I know I will need injectors. I see the popular one is 60lbs. This is a FF truck as well.

Do I need a 2bar map? What is involved with installing/tuning it. I've been reading and I see a lot of people running SD tunes.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

Yes you need a 2bar, ditch the maf, a separate IAT sensor to wire in, you may need bigger injectors and fuel pump than that depending on how much power you are aiming for.

Thanks Atomic.

What is involved with installing the IAT and 2bar map?

depending on how much your current FF pump flows youll be fine possibly

i have a 2010 FF truck and my stock pump is supporting my power level

2bar map plugs right in for you

IAT is simple but you can also keep the IAT in the MAF and just use the maf housing pre-tb

in your case you could possibly keep the maf and just have it zero'd out once it hits 105kpa

this way you have a MAF/SD tune

as for injectors that also will depend on what you currently have, my FF came with 39lb injectors

12 psi on a bone stock 53 may only get ya mid to high 300s

now if you do other mods you could see more power, example my 12 psi from my p1sc makes 540/550

i run 1000cc injectors [ i had them from a previous build], my motor makes that power based on its heads and cams

12 psi on a bone stock 5.3 with a d1sc should net you around 440 to the tire. I had this exact set up for a bit. 255 intank pump, 44lb injectors, 4" cat-back exhaust, everything else bone stock.

Why would he have to ditch the MAF?

They run just fine with a good tune using the MAF, and stock MAP at that boost level. 60's lb injectors will be good to go as well.

As far as fuel pump, the easiest option would be a Boost-A-Pump.
(Will easily support that power level)

You might could get around keeping it, but I find it easier just to get rid of it.

If you are within the range of the MAF, I would keep it if possible. I personally think the combination of MAF and MAP for fueling works better than MAP alone.

With an aftermarket cam that is correct.
With stock cam, its debatable,

However there is no reason to remove the MAF unless its pegged.
And even then, with a ProCharger there is ways around it.

MAF tunes are pretty easy, and work just fine to power levels even above 1,000rwhp if done correctly.
