Upon hot start (heatsoaked) the res coolant (green) is the hottest until the coolant starts flowing then it stays within a couple degrees of of HEX out (blue).

I should have offered a legend previously.

ICT1 - Green - Coolant reservoir / IC in
ICT2 - Red - HEX in / IC out
ICT3 - Blue - HEX out / to coolant reservoir

Also, the first three snips are from the same log and ambient temps were in teh low 70's. The 'boost' snips are from a separate log with ambient temps in the upper 70's iirc.

Can you tell me
What is your air temps pre/post ic compared to water temp pre/post ic?

Only air temps I have are IAT (purple) which is post IC in the tub and AAT (blue) which is pre-compressor in the intake tube. Post-compressor/Pre-IC could be calculated if I knew the actual pressure drop across the IC. Using post-IC MAP would get it close though.

For water temps, ICT1 (green) would be pre-IC, ICT2 (red) would be post-IC.

If you know compressor efficiency and boost you can get there from before the rotor temp. I dont know about KB, but magnuson and whipple both have AE charts to show efficiency.

KB doesn't publish anything like that. Weeding thru all the BS on their site I did find these numbers a while back which I used for my boost calculation spreadsheet.

Per KB supercharger dyno test, 2.8H efficiency is 85% @ 14.5psi (12K rpm) to 91% @ 26psi (17000 rpm)

So looks like a 10' rise in water temp.
Air temp 237 post ic.

Might be time to invest in a custom intercooler. Built for under the blower.???

There is no way they are 85-90% adiabatically efficient. Not even gas turbine axial and centrifugal compressors are that good. I would guess closer to 60-70% at most.

You can figure out the IC pressure drop by figuring out max theoretical boost based on 100% volumetric efficiency of the blower and engine and compare to the measured boost pressure. The difference is your intercooler pressure drop.

If you do get a custom intercooler, have it made from copper!

Don't know yet. I still have some tests I want to run before making that decision.

-do some static flow tests with artificial cooling (ice to res) to compare ict thruout the system
-get a log of cruise and wot with the pump disconnected to compare ict/iat.
-get a log of wot directly after artificial cooling (ice to res)

Depending on outcome, I may jut remove everything and spray about 20gpm of meth when in boost.
