A/W intercooler ?
#1
I was thinking about getting a purge kit that would run to my A/W intercooler.
I would unhook the water and put a new fitting on it the intercooler so that the N02 could go though it. Then I would hook the purge power wire to my meth kit so that when my meth comes on it would shoot N02 though the intercooler.
I feel that a spray bar for my heat exchange wouldn’t help much but this should make my air to water an air to N02.
This would be for hot track days and I would be going for way below ambient temps
Has any one done this? I bet it would help you radix guys out a lot.

Ok you will need to put a restrictor jet in the inlet fitting for this to work. We have taken a tranny cooler put into water to see just how much we could chill the water. The coolest we could get the water was 70'. That wasted 1 bottle of co2 cheaper then nitrous
and really was not worth it. You have to start the nitrous really soon to get the tubes to start chilling a bunch.
YOu are way better off setting up a water tank that you can circulate the water over ICE then to the intercooler. A simple set up would have some 3 way valves so while at the track you are just move water through the ICE not to the heat exchanger in the front.
We build a tank that fits into the passenger side rear corner of the engine bay, roughly 1.5 gallons.

i agree. i have a intercooler spray bar and it does next to nothing. after i figured out i was wasting my nitrous i installed a small 3 gallon fuel cell in place of my orignal air box and i can get the iat way below ambient , an ice box is where its at with a/w intercoolers.
