At idle my vaccum reads about 15-16, When I turn my truck on the silver rod retracts into the bypass actuator and when I rev the truck the rod comes back out about a 1/2". Hopefully that is the information that you need.

I'll check how far mine goes when I get home, assuming I get the truck back from the driveline shop today.

I am thinking I need to pull the Radix and make sure the gaskets are alright. I have a feeling that the problem has to do with some sort of leak. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

I am bringing up this old thread to post an update, I have my wideband gauge hooked up and the Air/Fuel ratio is reading around 15.0 while driving around normal. What should my Air/Fuel ratio be, I am thinking around 11.5? I am also thinking that this may be the cause of my KR. I still havent figured out the low boost but I am working on it. Anyways I thought some of you might be interested in a update.

Ideally your AFR during cruise, closed loop, would be 14.7:1. About 11.5:1 to 12:1 in PE (open loop).

Just cruising your wideband should show around 14.7. You should be into the 11s when in serious boost. MAybe 12s at only 3 psi. Did you pull the Radix to check the gaskets?

Are you seeing knock retard when going WOT? Or does it happen during stop light cruising? How much knock retard are you seeing. The 15:1 AFR is close to normal during normal cruising. As mentioned above, 14.7:1 is the target AFR for "closed loop" operation. That accounts for most all driving conditions except wide open throttle. Try a quick burst at full throttle and log a scan of the AFR, timing and knock. Keep diggin Brad, your getting close

Thanks, I am to scared to do a WOT run until I figure this problem out. I did log my drive with EFI Live and I sent it to jesse@wait4me. For example, I was going through the log and 58% throttle @ 1550 RPM's I had 7.5 KR, 12deg of timing, A/F was 14.68 and I was going 44mph? I am hoping that the KR is due to my truck being lean. I noticed that Jesse does not have my vin # on the pcm, Is that right? Also I sent him a 02 pcm, How do I check that he is using 02 program? Anyways if anybody has EFI Live and wants me to send them the log I will be more than happy to e-mail it to you.

I'm lost as to why you have no whine from the Radix. Even if your boost is leaking due to gaskets or valves you should still hear the whine from the S/C. It should be spinning just as fast regardless of whats leaking out. Do you have underdrive pulleys or something like that?

If you suspect your KR is a fueling issue, have your tune fattened way up and see if it goes away. If it does, then you solved that part and can fine tune the fueling and concentrate on the boost loss.
