There were two squirrels and a rag in the filter box and I routed the vac line going to the bypass valve to boost side.

We're at 12psi now, peak.

At full throttle, boost goes immediately to 10.8 to 11psi, then peaks at 12psi, then levels off to 10.8 to 11psi again.

thanks to those who pointed me to the bypass valve and brian at magna for the new hose route.

Question:
will it hurt anything, long term, if we leave this hose routed this way?
the valve still works, moves back and forth like it should.

So what you are saying is: there is enough restriction in the intake that it is still pulling enough vacuum to not let the bypass close?

they were small baby squirrels, i'm sure they weren't causing much of an issue.

if the stock tb was causing a restriction, then yes, the stock box removal didn't help much.
we're probably upgrading to a 100mm tb, 4" tube, customer said joe recommended this.

I'm sure it'll do some good.

Well, there's some more boost left in it if you go with the larger TB for sure. Does it have a 90mm on it or a 78?

This is what you need. Much cheaper than a 100 mm TB.
