TVS2300 on my L9H??
#1
This is quite a few months away, but I want to get my ducks in a row before I starting building up to the addition of a blower...
I would like to add a TVS2300 and meth injection to my L9H eventually, but am curious to know if this will definitely mean that I'll need to dish the heads and beef up the lower assembly first considering the compression ratio is 10.5:1...
All my tuning is done via AutoCal, so I will not be tuning myself...is it worth the risk of detonation to leave the lower in stock form?
I would like to start out at about 8psi and snow performance meth, is it too risky?

All my tuning is done via AutoCal through BBP...glad to hear the stock motor can hold up (assuming the tuning is done properly) I will most likely be going through BBP for a MagnaCharger seeing as they have starter tune to begin with and I use them for all my tuning already...The main thing I was worried about was the high compression ratio...seems like its ALL in the tune!!!

Yup. Justin can help you get it sorted out exactly the way you want. There are a lot of guys running boost on stock LS engines with 10.x compression ratios. Keep us posted on your progress; I've thought about going this route myself.

It'll be a while before i get to the blower...but now that I'm confident my block can handle the abuse I know what I need to build up to...1 7/8 LTs and exhaust next...TSP blower cam with new springs and lifters...CalTracs...4:10 TruTrac...Stall...beefed up trans...then blower!!

Thanx for the input guys...very much appreciated...the truck only has 12,000 miles right now, so I want to do everything in the right order to make it last...trying to get all my duckies in a row...yalls confidence in the stock lower makes me very happy...didn't want to have to go that deep into the modding just yet...

If your budget doesn't allow for a forged rebuild stick with the 1900. Shortly after my 2300 build I lost an oil control ring land on number 2 piston. No tuning problem, not boost related just a bad factory piston. I was able to upgrade to a Callies forged rotating assembly otherwise I would have been screwed.
