Default Turboing 4.3 S10

i already know a good bit about forced induction, just not much about it on an s10. and i just need to know a few things and for yall to make me a list please

first off this is for a 2001 V6 CPI motor

how much boost can a stock block hold?how much boost do you prefer to maintain driveability and reliability? What injectors do i need

im looking at buying a buddies 60MM turbo. can yall please make me a list of everything i will need to turbo this particular truck. i wanna do a rear mount turbo with a water to air intercooler. i also plan on alcohol or meth injection.

please help me and thanks in advance,
Chandler

You cant change injectors on your motor unless you swap to the marine intake manifold. The block doesnt contain the issue of boost, nut the rotating assembly does. There are many people running 12-15psi on them just as LS guys do, but how long will it take it.

I think a good spot for the 4.3 with boost is 8-12psi. 6-8psi is the limit with the stock intake injectors. Add in an FMU and its okay to 10-12, but an FMU isn't the best idea to me.

good luck with injectors. you will need to swap the manifold for real injectors. we run siemen 60's. we used a marine intake for our build. we also used a mpt-70 turbo. have you thought about syty manifolds for the turbo instead of but mount. would be cheaper i think after you figure in oil pump and piping to butt mount it.

haha A LOW DIME beat me to it.

I have been running the marine intake on my truck for six months now. I just texted him to see if he still has them and how much he wants.

EDIT: He still has them, $200. Crossover and both manifolds.
