yeah, the one that goes down to the Y thingy. And if u cut it just right, you shouldnt have to lenghten it on either side. Look at my install on my started threads if u want an idea.....

I already lengthened my lines because I rerouted them. I guess I'll just tap into them. No problems with boiling coolant in the reservoir?

no not that i noticed. I have been outta the truck for 3 weeks. ECT will go up when doing a WOT run, i think the highes ive seen mine is around 215. Which isnt that bad since they run around 200 anyway IMO. I will admit it makes me feel a bit better about my engine bay. Just SEEMS like they get way too hot with just oil cooling, although that is a proven combo as well. I used a 45* fitting and a 90*. The 45 helps clear the oil neck, if it isnt removed already.

Cool man...

I didn't have any problems running a dry turbo when I was running a Garrett 60-1. I went with Turbonetics, ala Jose@ForcedInductions, for the T66. I ordered it dry. The first turbo started smoking at WOT (only). Because this is a daily driver I bought a second identical turbo... and sent the other in for warranty. I talked with Turbonetics today and, based on bearing health, they said my EGT's are too high... so they are upgrading to a wet CHRA. So,it just seems a bit odd to me that I had no problems with a 60-1 P-Trim... which should have created greater EGT's... yet I have problems with a T66 with a huge GTK1000 turbine wheel...

I installed a Twin Turbo Kit from Rick @ Synergy and just spliced into the 1/4" rubber hose that heats the Throttle body. Seems to work just fine.

Are you sure you are not running a bit leaner with the bigger compressor? Your IATs deserve an eyeball as well imo.

The water passage way is not real huge by any means. But its enough to help keep the turbo a little cooler, and probably out of the danger zone on heat. We made the transition to the water cooled stuff a few months ago. For nothing more then just another saftey step in turbo life.
If you going to use AN style hose barb fittings, the size we use is -10.
I really like Turbonetics warranty.

When I upgraded the turbo size my tuner checked everything while I drove the truck. I still never get above 11.5 AFR... zero KR. I am running the 42lb injectors with the Magnavolt and the fuel pressure drops a little, till the Magnavolt activates at 3K RPM / 3PSI, then stops on WOT runs. My tuner says my injectors are pretty much done... not over 100% yet. I haven't checked the IAT's since my tuner last looked at them. I could check those as well. But I do remember them being low even after several WOT tuning romps last summer. My little 5.3L still continues to run just fine at 9-10psi. I checked #5 and #7 plugs and they looked great... I didn't bother with the others... but I get no misses or anything like that. The other thing is the smoking is occasional... mostly when the oil temp is below 180F. If I just bring the engine coolant to operating temp but the oil hasn't started heating yet and I hammer it I can dust for mosquito's. If I wait for the oil to get above 180F the smoking is faint to non-existant. I run Mobil1 10W-30... certainly not a heavy weight oil...
