Turbo temperature question
#1
Im curious to what might be the correct (normal) operating temperature that the turbo should operate at. I have my Pyro hooked up into the manifold before the turbo. ( KB kit)
My 6L idles at 800 Degrees and i have seen as much as 1400 degrees under heavy load and higher boost. It is around 1200 on lower boost. Just wanna see if that's normal. Thanks in advance

Okay, that makes me feel a little better. Some guy was telling me that that's way too hot, but he really wasn't a guy i would trust. He was probably thinking about diesel engines, I believe that they have lover EGT's

Diesel's tend to have lower EGTs while idling or light loads but depending on the set-up they will get much hotter than 1400 at WOT lol.
