Turbo selection help
#1
I currently have a VS Racing 76/65 on a 4.8 with a Isky triple 12 cam. Truck is a single cab 4x4. Currently on 12lbs. Was curious when I turn it up will I run out of turbo? How would these two turbos compare to my current turbo?
Vs racing billet 78/75
Compresor: 78mm 11 Blade Billet Compressor Wheel extended tip for high flow
Turbine: GT42 75mm Exducer
Turbine Housing : .96ar T4 open
BorgWarner s369
69.00mm / 2.72” Compressor Inducer Dia.
91.44mm / 3.60” Compressor Wheel O.D.
73.37mm / 2.89” Turbine Exducer Dia.
79.75mm / 3.14” Turbine Wheel O.D.
2.5″ Straight Compressor Outlet
Unsure on AR housing
Any help will be appreciated!

The 2 are roughly about the same performance wise i feel but light years better than what you have now. The 369 is definitely a stronger turbo longevity wise but also costs more. They are both going to be turbine limited but will definitely make more power than the 76/65. So really its 6 in one half dozen in the other for me. I personally run a borg s475/83 and love it.

S369 is a great turbo, I have one right now on my c10. But it won't fit your hot pipes. It's a 1/2" taller on the pedestal and a 3.5" marmon vband outlet. So unless you want to rework them, you'll have to stick with a small frame t4 like the VS 78/75

Well damn that's what I was afraid of lol I have found it with a 3 inch v band outlet, but I'm guessing the 1/2" taller on the pedestal will screw things up. Might hit up Trick and see if they can make me a new downpipe to fit it? My main concern was putting the 78/75 on and it not coming on till 4k RPM. Think the 78/75 is too big for a 4.8?
