Default Help with turbo cam selection

I have tried to contact a couple different people regarding cams. I'm looking for some recommendations. Here are the specs of the build: 06 SS 4l80, precision 3200 triple disc, weighs 4900 with my 200lb *** in her. Either a s480 or s475 still have to talk to forces inductions about this. Iv looked at the triple 12 and speed inc TU series cams. What else is out there? What will work best? I do a lot of street driving, minimal towing, and go to the track every other weekend. But I don't want it too rowdy as I drive it everyday.

Isky triple 12 is my vote. No doubt i will be using that again for my 6.0.

Good idle and great powerband.

I have a 226/226 117 cam i loved and worked grest with my turbo. Biggest thing with a turbo cam is you dont want a lot more exhaust duration than intake and keep overlap less than 2 degrees.

i do like the tu1. i feel that would act pretty tame with a 3200. my current cam is obviously not a good match at all. 227 236 .614 .578 113+3

I've personally made 800rwhp with the triple 12 in my truck and Stock48 has made 1000 in his truck. Both stock short block 6L's.

This is a triple 12 cam. My old setup running a liter bike. Shows a bit more than 800-900...

Since you seem to be more track/race orientated I would go with the TU's (between the 2) since they are bigger. You have plenty of stall, nothing against the triple 12, it obviously works...maybe try his 218/218? What rpm are you planning on shifting at? that could make a difference.

I swapped from a 222/226 to the triple 12. I got an extra 1-2 mm Hg of vacuum at idle. However, the bigger cam "felt" stronger up top and I surprisingly noticed no change in spool time or any different low end with the baby cam. The larger cam did have more aggressive lobes though and higher lift.

running a JFR cam with ls3 style heads
made over 1000 rwhp
been 164 mph in 1320

shifts at 7200

218/224

for catheral heads id run his 218 if more race setup, in a heavy truck like the SSS a triple 12 is way to go
