turbo question
#3
your a/r ratios will be significantly different because of the higher pressures in a diesel...some turbos are specifically built to be put on diesels, others on gas, but essentially they are the same.
Diesels have variable vane geometry, someone should put one of those on a gas engine.....

Diesel turbos are designed to operate at much higher pressure ratios than most gas turbos. If you put the compressor maps for a 6.5 diesel turbo next to a turbo spec'd for a 6.5 gas engine you'll see.
