AMSOIL - AMSOIL Z-ROD 10W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil (ZRT)


They have this stuff in 10w-30 or 20w-50.

Just to be clear a higher zinc content does not protect an engine more it just protects it for a longer period of time. Additional zinc only benifits when the oil breaks down faster and there is more than normal metal to metal contact. If your oil is changed at the correct intervals you shouldnt need the added zinc.

I use rotella 5w40 full synthetic. Diesel oil is engineered for turbocharged, high heat, high load engines. Works well for me, and I buy it by the case when it's on sale as I use it in my Duramax also.

I also run the rotella t 15w40. I use to run 5 30 royal purple, but I noticed it looked like water when I would change the oil. It got beat up too bad with the turbo. With the rotella the engine runs quieter and the oil looks better when it's time to change it.

I'm surprised at all the different weight oils being ran... If you want to learn about turbo's and oil look up the post foose put up about a year ago
