That was another option, but I was hoping for a synthetic.

For the longest it was 40 idle, 60 at 2000, and pegged at 6000..
dunno if my oil pressure sensor or gauge is acting up. but it was a lil lower cruising at 2000 so i switched from 5w30 to 15w40.. only diff is, when its cold the pressure is higher till it warms up.

Diesels go forever with the Rotella / Delo 400.. only diff i see is their blow by with diesel and it doesnt break down Engine oil like Gasoline does..

Thanks for the info. I think I'll give Rotella T6 5W-40 or Mobil 1 5W-40 a try. T6 looks like it has extra zinc, and the M1 has just a little bit less.

My oil pressures are basically identical to nonnie, I have about 2 years and 30k miles on my engine, all hard, turbocharged, high revving miles. Even pull a 26' enclosed with it before i got my duramax. I ran regular Mobil 1 10-30 in my turbo'd 5.3 and it seemed to get awful thin in the summer heat and traffic. Oil pressure would drop down to 25 hot, switched to rotella and have not seen that since, even hot lapping at the drag strip in the heat or pulling the trailer.
