Turbo Kits
Probably a very frequent question. I pulled my House Of Boost Dedicated Drive D1 setup in favor of a single turbo. I need 50 posts to post my blower kit for sale, so im going to use them to ask a few questions... Anyone had luck with the on3 setups for a NNBS? thinking of buying their kit with a 78mm and tailoring it for mu needs. possibly a shorty header of the drivers side instead if the stock mani so it looks good, truck already has a built 5.3, it a 2013 RCSB so its a 6L80, may have to re stall the converter also. Anyone went from a blower straight to a turbo to help with the stall specs?? Thanks in advance for the info.

my buddy here is Wichita, ks has an on3 kit on his 4.8l 2007 rcsb. he mentioned something about buying a shorty header from them for the driver side as well, i think thats the route he went. He blew the transmission up on the dyno trying to get it tuned and has yet to get it fixed, so i dont know what he plans on for a stall.

I've been looking at this kit for awhile as they are in Ohio so I could drive and pick it up. They still don't have all the piping in for this kit. That was on Thursday so patiently I wait

Yeah put an older gen kit on the 07-13 truck. Not bad for a cheap kit. Had to machine a few aluminum blocks and get longer bolts for the sway bar mounts to allow the crossover pipe to clear sway bar, the pass side turbo header/merge piece wont clear the strut tower so you have to man up and notch the strut tower with a death wheel. Bought an aluminum maf flange and got tig'd onto one of the aluminum intake pipes, you have to cut out the hood latch braces and weld in tabs to hold the intercooler up front. Exhaust downpipe doesnt fit the great so if you want full exhaust you definatly need more bends and then weld it up.
Ac to turbo clearance is not good, you will have to cut out a little bit of battery tray and then tweak the lines so it fits in that area and off the turbo, You will also need to get some 90 degree elbows and some heater hose and redirect the heater core lines.
Theres some more stuff, def not a bolt it kit but can easilly be knocked out and can make some decent power. The one we did put down 550 to the wheels at around 12 psi which is good enough to spin stock tires up to 50-60 mph heh

I will be starting a build log for it and try to get as much pictures as possible of the install and let everyone know how it goes.
