Default Turbo guy's, lets talk brakes

I am running the stock setup for my brake system on my truck. Many things i have read point to some people using a check valve before the booster to keep brakes will making boost. I know you won't have infinante brakes but do any of you guys run something like this? I saw where aps calls for this on their turbo kits for the vettes and magancharger has one for the cts-v 112 kits. I just don't want to spend the money for hydroboost when this could be a semi easy fix.
Opinions?

Cheap option. The check valve will keep the boost pressure from acting on the boost in the wrong way.

Stock brakes here and working good so far. My truck does have a little canister from factory but not sure if it's a check valve or vacuum reserve.

Do the hydroboost swap...I did mine for under $200 and I have better brakes in general.

I almost wrecked my truck after cranking it and within a few seconds punching the gas just enough to build some boost. I shouldn't have done that. because I had no vacuum at all and therefore no brakes. HYDROBOOST would have stopped me.
