Default Turbo Guys: IAT Temps at Idle?

Wondering if you were to idle your truck on an 80 degree day for 30 minutes. How high above ambient do your IATs go to?

Depends somewhat on where your IAT sensor is, but +20 or +30 wont be uncommon.

I'm not "chasing it" per say just trying to get a reference point from other truck guys. There's lots of IAT posts discussing street blasts and 1/4 mile runs but I couldn't find any information regarding idle IATs. I'm knee deep in an intercooler upgrade, so I'll have before / after comparisons for my own setup soon, but I was just curious about others.

The best i could tell you is from last friday from the track. about 80 degrees out, sat in staging lanes for 20 mins or so, iats went to about 94 degrees. Hit the prime button on my meth controller, it would shoot down to 60's, then take about 5 mins and back up to 94.

As Richard said, where is your sensor mounted? I like them mounted as far down stream as possible (mine is right after the intercooler).
