Hey guys, starting to get together some of the last things Ill need before I can install my turbo kit and need some advice. Ive tried searching for my specific question and cant find anything. I keep hearing mixed reviews about the Walbro 255 intanks being enough for upwards of 600hp (not that I plan on making that off the bat).
Im looking more towards the Bosch 044 inline but would that be able to work in conjunction with the stock intank pump? Im tryin to avoid a completely custom intank setup if I can since its my DD. Going to run my 5.3 with no more then 10# untill it decides to give out then either forge it or go 6.0L and turn it up to 10-15#.
Any suggestions??? Im not doing a "budget" build but im not going all out either.
Also while im thinking about it... Those of you that HAD EGR and went turbo, whats involved with deleting that? I can pick up the intake plug from my old work easily. Is there a harness Ill need to remove?

I'm going to run an Aeromotive 340 in my truck(5.3, small cam, 60#, MP70), but I also plan on trying out E85. Another good pump i've heard about is the Deatschwerks DW301. Flows about the same as the Aeromotive 340. They both only cost about $50 more than a Walbro...

Try a denso 1020, about the same size as the walbro but flows a lot more, closer to the bosch044 specs. I modified a bucket to use two of them for my turbo build, one will fit in the factory spot with very little modification.

While I have everyones attention, what about FPRs??? I know I want a boost refrenced reg but what brand is everyone using? Aeromotive? Magnafuel?
So far the walbro kit seems like a good deal and a pretty straight forward install without hardly any modifications. Im looking more for simplicity than anything.

Does yours have return fuel system. The stock fpr is boost referenced, I just went and bought a new one, just because. At 18psi mine has 80 psi of pressure, and it is very consistent. I have a 044 in the tank, and I put a bap on because everyone else does, and have never had a problem. What injectors do you have?

my truck IS return style. How do I know if my stock reg is boost referenced? If it is then I would like to try it out if i can save from buying a new one. Im sure as long as i see a steady increase it would be fine. Plan on running the 60#ers and probably the ones Idahoblkss up there has for sale.
whats a BAP? lol
