Turbo died need options
#1
My sts turbo started making a funny noise a while back. Now its done. Should I upgrade to the gt67 sts sells or is there other options? The 60-1 made good power but I think I over spun it or something. It made 547hp and 600ft lbs on a dyno dynamics dyno, its a eddy current dyno. With the 45 shot spraying. The truck is a daily driver. I also have a ligenfelter gt2-3 thats going in soon. A little lag won't bother me I pull a trailor a lot and the little turbo I have actually builds boost a little to quick when towing.

I had a GT-76 on my 5.3 and liked it. Was at full boost at about 3500 RPM which isn't that low an RPM honestly but it moved a ton of air and it wasn't super hot either. I liked it but would recommend a GT-67 though.

I am taking the STS system off of my truck in a few weeks....I "might" be interested in selling the turbo separate. Let me know if you are interested in it, it is the GT67 with a .81 AR.
