Turbo blowing into supercharger-will it work?

There was an episode of Trucks that mentioned this. A lot of the old big rigs used that setup. The supercharger was gear driven off the the crank and the turbo was mounted directly to the supercharger (if I remember correctly). It was an odd setup.

Yup, this is true. It must have not of worked too well, because I don't see too many big rigs with this setup anymore.
If you've go the mula, the time and the know how, then I say do it. Be different, but you better IC the turbo air before it hits the Radix.

Id do it the other way around use the supercharger to spool the turbo right off the line. The sc would have to be able to move alot of air though or it would be fighting against the turbo.

what would happen, you would have one empty pocket book and probably no power, thats like apples and oranges your working with, just not any bit practical, the only thing i could see would be the low end from the blower and the high end from the turbo, but thats what twin turbos are for and why new cars have 2 diffrent sized turbos that can be switched on and off electronically at different rpms. Unless you have a lot of money, a lot of time, and want ot see yoru truck be down forever, find something more conventional, might make a nice "show" truck if you could even get the thing to run enough to back it off a trailer.
