That twin SC and twin TC car spoken about earilier was done in the heyday of prostreet. It was a show car, but word on the street was it never ran right and it could barely make it on and off the trailer.

You could get this to work though. Anything is possible, if you put your mind to it.

I have an idea that would work but I'd have to sketch it out for anyone to understand. It's to damn late for all that right now but I'll do it tomorrow.

This combination is used a lot with 2-cycle diesel engines which, by their design, require FI. Until very recently, nearly all EMD diesel locomotives were of this design. By contrast the GE locomotives use 4-cycle engines, and have a turbo only. Engineers have often stated that the EMD units "load up" much faster than the GE's.

compound turbo/supercharging was originated during WW2 and used successfully on military aircraft piston engines. You can still buy a nice aftermarket compound turbo setup for the dodge cummins diesel.
