IMO you need a wide band in the cab at all time with FI.

As others have said it can be anything.. you are on the right track with a dyno tune, just do some research on the shop. Make sure they know what type of gm platform they will be working on and also the type of F.I. Ask what type of tuning software they use. What a/f they tune too. don't just go to the cheapest shop...

I agree with the wideband comment. I won't even do a high boost pull without logging every second but I am freak.

These guys are smart. Listen to them. The wideband gauge is a must. I am also a freak about it. Everytime I even start boosting, I am constantly watching my afr. That is the best investment you will make with your set up.

The one thing you have to get used to is that you can't "set it and forget it" with FI. With low boost you may be able to do that but when you start pushing the limits there are to many variables to consider. I had my tune nailed but then winter hit and I had to make some adjustments to get it back in line. With low boost it doesn't seem to matter as much but when you start pushing 10+psi and believe me you will you need to understand what your getting yourself in to.

the stock Buick GNX's were boosting around 15 psi. I guess that would account for the big gains that can be had by self tuning OEM boosted vehicles. They have to be very conservative as they operate in many varied conditions.
