Front mount has to be more efficient just by the laws of physics, nothing wrong with the rear mounts.
Both Trick and Synergy are offering front mount kits with Synergy offering a twin-turbo setup.

Ummm I think it depends on what your using your truck for!
This is strictly my opinion but I feel that a rear mount is better suited for mild HP applications and usage as a DD vehicle. Front mounts are much better for extreme power set-ups, track trucks, and show trucks and they do ok for DD'ers.

- I've had both set-ups on two different trucks and from my experience with my Front Mount I would see really really hot under hood temps when running around town getting groceries or what not but would see quick spool times, little to no lag with really good performance. I also had more maintenance issues with the front mount due to heat and everything being so crammed into the engine bay.

- With the Rear mount under hood temps aren't an issues at all and there's plenty of room in the engine bay for access, maintenance and whatnot. Did notice a slight difference in spool times but the power is there and they work well. With fully built set-ups I feel the rear mount isn't the best option as there is a lot of piping, additional parts and potential for more problems than a front mount.

If I would of known the extent of work I was going to be doing to my truck I would of done a front mount but that's in hindsight. I love my rear-mount and it's left to be seen how it performs as a high HP application.

I would do a front mount, over the rear stuff. Obvious reasons. I think they work better. I recommend you do some searching on the forum, and if there is anything I can do for you drop me a pm.

just read up on kbracing where he swapped from a rear mount to a front mount and reports better spool time from less piping, made me a believer and disproves the statement from STS saying that they have the same spool time as a front mount and that they have special turbos for the rear setup, kbracing used the same turbo

^^ Well of course he's going to see better spool. A rear mount uses a smaller turbine A/R to make up for the extra volume and heatloss. Put that same turbo up front, and hell yeah its going to spool faster, but more than likely, you lose rpm up top becuase now, its too small to flow the hotter, thus larger, volume of exhaust gas.

With both front and rear mount, the trick is just the right sized turbo for where you want your power.
