I've seen people running really high pressures, 22+ for example who gap them. I don't know that I've seen someone mention gapping rings for anything less than 20 psi. Many factors here though.

Once I get my 80e refreshed and back in, I plan to run 15+ on e85 and have no intentions of opening up the lower end to gap the rings.

what are u running for fuel? is ur truck flex fuel? and are u on meth? i thought of that but everyone says fuel pump n injectors wont hold. 63# injectors on stock fuel pump. mine is not flex fuel nor do i have meth. i wouldnt mind running 14psi on my big as boat as the 80e 1st gear is slow. a 601st on an 80e would be dope though lol

Currently running 15psi, no gapped rings, stock engine, ls6 cam, prc dual springs, 57lb injectors, 10gph meth, 80e, etc..

I'm in the process of swapping in a 4.8L for boost and I'm not going to gap the rings at all. Everyone I've talked to have had great luck running 20+ psi with fairly stock bottom ends

FIC 80# injectors
truck was non-flex, I swapped in a flex fuel pump from a junkyard 5.3 truck
e85 only
