OH gotcha, I do have some 4" flex we could throw on there.
Fans are due to be finished next week, then the turbo stuff is going on.

your starting to make me wonder if your new toy is
running the orignal plugs and wires and never had
a tune up at all.
that is some good **** to show that kind of a jump
on fluid and filter.
have you checked the cats for full flow?

I have not check any flow, but new exhaust is in the works. Just bought a truck and started banging on it. LOL Wires, plugs, I could not tell you if or when they where ever changed.
I thought the jump was a little hi, but again it is , what it is. The next part is the fans, I am thinking it should be worth another 10hp or so time will tell.
It does show what an average guy may go throu, I am pretty lucky have the dyno so close.

This engine seems tired, but thats great, we get to find out what a tired engine can do with the turbo added and higher boost levels....

Seafoam through that engine should clear her from a lot of carbon build up. You must get a video of this if it is done! Doubt it will ever change HP numbers, but it might idle better if its a little off. Mebay you should do a port+polished throttle body after the efans see how much it improves on the 5.3s as I dont think anyone has done yet on LSx based trucks.

Ok we got the fan shroud finished up. It got delayed for several reason.
The 29" core is alot different then the larger 34". The hose necks are extremely close to the core leaving little to no room. So the first sample had to get tweek a couple of times.
Now we are really happy with the fit and these twin 14" pullers have no problems keeping this truck cool, just sitting with the a/c running for over 10 minutes after the test drive. You can feel the air getting pulled in at the grill.
Installs into the factory location, using the stock hardware.
Install time for the fan was under 30 minutes. Took a little while to find my 10mm socket. LOL
We used dual 30amp Bosch relays, wire loomed everything, and installed dual circuit breakers for protection. (They are the yellow covers in the pics.)
Right now the fans are just ON when the key is on.

If you do not have the proper spanner fan removal tool here are some tips.

TIPS and tools needed for stock fan removal:
15mm socket
1/2 inch breaker bar
large cresent wrench
and about a 18"-24" 2x4.

step 1: Simple install the cresent wrench on the large hex nut aiming the tool straight up.
step 2: With the 15mm and breaker bar installed on belt tensioner.
step 3: Apply some force to tighten the belt.
step 4: Take the 2x4 and knock the hell out of the cresent wrench, counter clockwise or towards the passenger side of the vehcile.
NOW repeat until the large nut comes loose, then remove tools and fan. It took me 6 hits to make it happen. Recommend you hit the short side of the wood, less vibration will hit your hand. LOL..

Fans with NO relays will be 350.00 + shipping...

I will be heading to the dyno next week. Then the turbo will be going on.....
