Well just got back today from a car show. Towed my T-bucket in a 24ft. enclosed trailer with a bunch of **** with me about a 90 mile trip one way. Whole package weighs about 6,000 lbs.+ I turned the boost down to around 6 psi to keep exaust temps low, not sure how hot they got but no problems at all! Truck ran great tranny temps never saw more then 200 deg. mainly 180 - 195. My coating on my hot pipes still looks purdy. There was a couple times I was running 90 mph. but the truck has no problems cruising at 75 so I am very happy with the turbo setup. just wanted to let everyone know how the turbo does towing and so far I am very pleased with it!

WJ MARK nice to hear, you might want to put an external tranny cooler on that, 200 is getting a little warm. That 3000 stall could be some of the cause of the tranny temps as well.
So did you get any awards at the show?

its got a bigger external cooler on it. I was told 200 really isn't that hot when towing? No awards at the show unless you are a big street rod builder or have a real big buck car, It was just for fun! spending time with the fam and sitting in the sun!

Yeah thats what I thought. the 200 range was in stop and go traffic on the highway durring rush hour traffic, and the higher numbers were pulling up hills doing 75 or more.

This chart is always nice to go by, now given our transsmissions donot see these temps all the time while driving, and synethics are a plus too.
Now get the wideband hooked up.

Looks like im in good shape! I only got 79,000 miles on mine. I bought it with 50,000 that some grandma drove. The inside of the bed didn't have a single scratch in it, until I got my hands on it.
Yeah I know I need to hook up the wide band. Been very busy
