John, the top picture is of the P1's impeller, and the bottom picture is of the D1's impeller. They share the same housing and utilize the same step-up ratio (4.10:1). The only difference is the impeller. This is why the P1's have a much more linear power curve, while the D1 produces more boost at lower rpm's and can produce more boost with the same size pulley.

Josh

Thanks for posting up, yes I have checked out the diff in the impellers. I just hope a vent of some sort will eliminate the oil issue, I really like the blower, but can not justify spending what they want to give it a rebuild, not guarantee a leak free unit.. I am sure I am being alot more **** then 98% of people about it.. So like I said it will be up for sale unless i can correct the proble, a Trick kit will more then likely be on the way... BTW i wonder what kinda boost a 3.5 pulley would make on a D1

Who has had both p and d? Can you just up the boost on the p to equal out to a d? Example is 10 lbs on a p equal to let's say 5 lbs on a d?

No, boost is boost. It just takes a smaller pulley on the P1 to get the same boost as the D1. The delivery of the P1 is more linear as well.

Linear meaning straight? So 12lbs on a p1 is going to make the same hp as 12lbs with d1 but more linear. However you have to spin the p1 faster to make the same boost resulting in more heat which calculates to less efficiency? So what your really trying to say is the angle of the dangle is proportionate to the heat of the beat!

Here is a pic of our Stage 4 kit with gate venting back into the DP.
Standard venting is to the atmosphere. We can build the manifold out of stainless. It just adds cost to the build and I do not think it adds much to the kit.
If anyone has any questions drop a PM.

Thanks Rick, like I talked to ya in the PM, if I go for a kit, I will prob give you a ring. That kit seems to offer more of what I am looking for as a complete package vs being custom.. 1 thing I ask, is your Warr guarantees 1 year against cracks. Have you had any issues with cracking in the past???

Again this is all going to be based if my vent aka breather idea stops oil blow bye for my blower, then I will simply buy a D1 wheel and put in there..

The D1 will make more boost at a lower RPM, continue to make boost all the way up the rpm band. To spin a P1 to make the boost a D1 will make at a given rpm will make more heat at the same boost level with the P1..

The Gen 2 design ZERO cracks.
The Gen 1's did have a few that cracked after many miles and months. With as many kits as we have out there I have to stand behind my work to keep things mivng forward.
Even when it happened after the 1 year; I still would fix it at no cost to the customer.

I will help any customer out as much as possible. If you lived closer I would deliver the kit to you.
