Tired of STS

I agree with the above. Are your headers ceramic coated? Did you wrap the headers? You do have a big tuning issue if you are knocking just as the turbo spools. I would try to fix that tune first, before you buy another kit.

If you are running a mail order tune, like others said, find the time to go to SA and do a street tune with Allen. Billy finished up the cam, springs and stall on mine and I made the trip. Honestly, it was worth the vacation day! It is cool to have Allen sitting there tweaking every little thing that crosses your mind. I should have made a list but got the important things taken care of. There aren't any drivability issues related to the stall or cam. Allen estimated around 585 ft/lbs at the crank and it pulls my boat like it isn't even back there. I still want to get it on the dyno to see what its got at the wheels with the built transmission. Don't give up on it!

I never in my life thought that I would have heard someone say this. Don't get me wrong here, superchargers are fun and all but they just can not hold a candle to the power output of a turbo. Turbo's are my power adder of choice and that is why my daily driver is a factory turbo car. They are so much easier to get big numbers out of than that of superchargers. Just look at parish's numbers if there is any doubt. I would have an ststurbo kit on my wife's tahoe already but she thinks it is already to fast(ha, no such thing). If you are not satisfied with yours than there is something wrong with it. DJ is just now figuring out that he should have went with a turbo kit on the Regency instead of the Radix but he wouldn't listen to me and now he wishes that he would have. Turbos on an automatic rock! I have let DJ drive my talon at lunch and he said that it is scary the way the power comes on. I really think you just need to get it ironed out.
