Seriously! I'm still waiting to hear what supporting modifications he has. My setup just keeps getting better and better with every little thing I do. The limit of the STS setup has yet to be found, especially for trucks.

Ditch the headers, gut the cats and crank the boost up to 10 psi. The difference between 5-6 psi and 10 is night and day. That will make a believer out of you. There is alot left in your setup. Work with what you have before you blow a ton of money for no reason.

The limit really isn't STS related at all. Turbo's simply have alot of room to grow. Since most have their combo so far off of what it should be to start with they only get better as they go.

And no affence to TRTurbo. Billy is a verry helpfull guy, knows his suff and, has some really great prices. Mabe it is my tune. Runnin 8psi now and i get KNOCK just as the turbo starts to spool. kinda scared to turn up to 10psi. also power goes away in upper rpms. Has any one tryed changeing turbine housings with STS 67mm to smaller one?

I agree with the others. I would try to maximize what you have first. I went through 3 tunes as Rick learned to tune turbo setups and once we got it nailed down it was like night and day. I went from running low 13s to low 12s. The intercooler and meth also made aqHUGE difference compared to the base kit setup. 19deg of timing at 14psi was the bomb lol

I'm guessing you have the 5.3 with the 4l60?
A GT 67 is a bit big imo for a 5.3 only running 5-8 psi....

With his initial post it seemed that he felt disappointed with the STS setup and that a front mount would cure all problems. That's all I meant by that.

I didn't see a high stall torque converter in his list of mods, and I feel that one would really wake his truck up. Also a simple mod like wrapping the exhaust really helps, especially with those headers.

GOGO-C,
What size engine do you have? Do you know what size ex. A/R you have on there now?
