Default Time to get my FEET WET...

okay, so after alot of back and fourth. Ive finally decided what Im doing. ****... Finally. Few questions...

Here is what I have to work with so far:
227/235 .614/.621 113
lq9 6.0 with l92s heads and intake
3200 circle d stall & 4l80e 3.73

parts I have access too... 80lbs injectors..
I can also order a huge fuel pump for fueling.

I need to know if this sounds feasible...

Non intercooled KIT to start off with a S480 turbo.. May run non intercooled @ approx 5-8 psi for less than a year. Later Ill add intercooler, up boost, and prob even start building for a bigger engine to make the s480 shine.

Im just planing and have to take things little at a time, as I have a clutch fan still etc.

Let me know what I can expect, and yes I did do research. From what I gather, better run a non intercooled setup, if not properly routed with free flowng bends. But like I said I just want low boost as Im gathering parts. Ill be happy with 4psi boost untill I get everything else going.

My tuner who has been helping me will tune the truck right away, as he tuned his twin turbo 6.0s Firebird 1200hp... badass.. car

guys let me know.

I would reconsider the intercooler...even a cheap ebay intercooler will be worthwhile.

Yea I would definitely add an intercooler especially if you aren't running E85. 4psi wouldn't even be worth the money of the turbo. From experience, do it right the first time and you will enjoy it much more.

Just don't skimp on fueling and cooling and it'll be a good setup.

haha, so inter-cooler is going on for sure. Just going to have to fab my own Cold side. That way, Ill just keep my Clutch Fan, lol.

Actually, Im going to piece my entire system coming to think of it.

Got access to 80lbs injectors
Will order the biggest / best fuel pump.... (what is the best single pump?) to support goals
Order a KB hotside KIT as of now speced for a BW s480 (is a 4" downpipe good??)
Order a S480 turbo online
Fabricate my own Oil feed & Drain lines.
Fabricate my own Cold Side to work with Fan Clutch.

Tuning, will be handled by a good friend of mine with turbo tuning experience. That should get me safely running until I hit the dyno and get a load tune. Can also send some logs to PCM4LEss as he can help me too.

Now what are my goals? Well lets see... enuff to keep my L92 headed LQ9 staying together for now. What HP/TQ can I estimate? at what boost? Ill be building a Forged engine while I run this setup.

This is what we are working with
227/235 .614/.621 113
lq9 6.0 with l92s heads and intake
3200 circle d stall & 4l80e 3.73

I know, lots of questions...
