yah, no need to be a dick man. Its not a new idea. That's why there's a name for it. Do you feel cool that you put someone down on the internet? I even said that i had a theoretical question. I even stated that i did not plan on doing it and obviously did not expect to make any money. I Simply asked a theoretical question on the physics of it.

 

Alfa did it back in the late 70s. Roots blower for low end torque and once the turbo started making boost the blower was blocked off so it couldn't do any compressing, which drastically reduces its parasitic drag.

They used it with devastating effect on their rally car as well until it was banned.
