I cut the ears off both sides, I didn't want to have any clearance problems and they really don't need to be there. Think of it as weight reduction

 

I even had to grind a little on the bolt on bottom bell housing peiece.

 

I bet you look rediculous without any ears, LOL

 

what if when you build the bracket for the TB you incorperate a little bend in it so it is more of a straight shoot with the turbo. the gap inbetween the two might get a little smaller though. i think senergy did something like this on their custom TT kit on a stock intake.

I never cut any ears off my 80? it all clears.
