Default In-Tank or In-Line fuel pump?

I am going to put this in this section as it directly relates to my S/C application. If this is not right, please move it. Thanks.

I would rather drop the tank and install a replacement pump than the in-line, but only if I can install it without effecting my gauges or making major modifications to the bucket and stuff. If anyone has a part # for a high flow (volume) in-tank kit that will work please let me know.

If i can not go with the In tank setup, then i will have to go with the in-line pump. Im just not sure of the correct way of installing this. I s there a piggyback harness that will connect this up? Does it have a cut off/turn on switch that needs to be installed? Is there a complete kit that is sold for my truck?

Thanks
Jimmie

Have you contacted racetronix yet? http://racetronix.com/ They are way more knowledgable at matching or knowing if your setup is even matchable with an in tank unit.

Check out this thread, lots of good info. I am running the same pump and haven't had any problems.

Cool

I would tend to leave the in-tank pump alone working as per factory specs and put an in-line pump on your frame rail plumbed in before your fuel filter using fuel line hose. That is what I did and it is working fine. I actually put mine after the fuel filter by cutting a piece out of the factory steel fuel line. Before the filter would have been a better idea. Racetronix sells a harness which I used and it is a very nice piece and I highly recommend it.

K, thanks, thats 2 votes for the Racetronix. I will give them a call and get some #'s.

Waitintodrag:
Do you have a model#, place of purchase, and price on your intank pump? Does your gas guage still work 100%? Did you have to modify anything to fit?

Futral MotorSports dropped the pump in the tank while they were building my motor. I think the pump was like 150$? Gas guage is still 100% accurate and no modification was needed.

I believe this is the part #....F20000169 [high pressure 255]
i just looked this site up....http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/
