Default Ok, done with the in tank pump. Come in.

Got the pump today so I thought I'd tear in to it. It took about 30 min to drop the tank and disconnect lines(3) and two plugs. Took out old assembly and got it apart. The new 255 holley was a little smaller and does not fit to exact, but is really snug in the holder that has a lid that locks everything into place. You will have to use the supplied plug and cut the pump wires and use supplied splice connectors. Offset them slightly just in case. The line coming off the top of the pump is a pain to get off, I used a screwdriver to pry it off the nipple(lol I said nipple) Then put the line on and use supplied hose clamp to tighten it to new pump. The filter is slightly larger on the pump too so you will have to bend it to put it in the canister. Check everything one last time then put it back together. Make sure you do not pinch any lines when putting back up. One last thing is make sure you loosen the three bolts by gas cap that allows you to drop the fill tube.Be careful when you first take canister out of tank cause the gas level indicator has a long rod on it, you may need to tilt it to the side and it will come out fine. I got the part from Speed Eng(our sponsor) for 150.00 . Pushed it out of my garage (just in case) Started up and let it idle and then went and beat on it a little and no problems. Don't freakout when you see the pump due to its size, everything will be ok.Hope this helped everyone out a little.

Thanks for the info. I 'm going to install one too. How long did it take you to do(start to finish)? I see that it took you about 30min to take the tank out.

I would say two hours by myself. I was being really cautious. Now if I had a six pack in me then prolly 1 hour.

One other way is to pull the bed off the truck, it sounds harder, but it's much easier to do if the tank is full. IMO
